Switched

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 23, 2026

This is a summary of how Switched handles your data. It is written in plain language to give you the key points — it is not a substitute for legal advice.

What we collect

  • Account info from Google OAuth (name, email, profile picture).
  • Stream metadata — titles, categories, viewer counts, chat messages.
  • Studio session data — camera/mic device labels, layout choices, guest invites.
  • Basic usage and device info (browser, IP) for security and performance.

Guests

Guests who join a studio via an invite link are not required to create an account. We only store what is needed to run that session — a display name and connection data scoped to that studio session.

How we use your data

To run the stream studio, deliver your stream (including simulcast to YouTube, X, and LinkedIn when you enable it), show your content to viewers, and keep the platform secure. We don't sell your personal data.

Third parties

We use Cloudflare for video infrastructure and Restream for simulcasting to external platforms. When you connect a third-party platform, its own privacy policy also applies to that connection.

Tips and tokens

Tips are currently points with no monetary value. We're building toward an optional Solana-based token economy — if that launches, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent before any wallet linking.

Your choices

You can update your profile, disconnect linked platforms, or delete your account at any time from settings. Deleting your account removes your personal data, subject to limited legal/security retention needs.
